Nick Marsh is the Managing Director of NEXT Corporation based in Auckland, New Zealand. He has been in business consulting for 20 years. During that time he has worked with government and local government bodies, private and public companies, and NGO’s in Australia, New Zealand, the USA and Europe.
Nick was born in England and studied at the Universities of Nottingham and Leeds. He has travelled extensively in America and Europe and emigrated to NZ in the mid 70’s to help found a new Management Studies Department at Auckland University. His PhD was based on research on leadership and authority in the multicultural industrial workforce.
In 1986, he co-published the first study of management practice in 60 NZ companies, "Theory K - Excellence in Management". In 1993, he published "The All Star Company", which predicted the emergence of new organisational forms based on the performing arts. He also formed a consulting company which evolved into the Foresight Institute of NZ. It has been a leader in the field of Strategic Foresight in New Zealand and Australia. In 2002 he published his third book, “Strategic Foresight. The Power of Standing in the Future”.
Nick has participated in a number of international think tanks and conferences, public speaking engagements, and facilitation roles in Finland, the USA and Australia, and has an extensive international network of contacts. He has been the prime driver behind the development of a range of innovative tools and processes to help businesses and organisations cope with rapid change and developing effective future-proofing strategies.

Ian Ivey
Ian has a Masters of Science with 1st class honours from Massey University in New Zealand. He is the Managing Partner of Strive Partnership, an Associate of NEXT Corporation (New Zealand), an Associate of The Ripple Effect (Australia), the international representative for Attlington Investments (Gibraltar) and Gipro (Germany), and a Director of Biozest Ltd (New Zealand).
He has had senior management roles in the horticulture, corporate investment and international petrochemical sectors and has travelled and worked in many countries throughout Europe, the Arabian Gulf, Asia, North America, the Caribbean, and the Pacific Rim. He is fluent in English and German and has basic French language skills.
He has many years experience in hands-on management, business development, international commerce, consulting, public speaking and facilitation, and writing articles for a range of professional and business publications. He also has strong networking skills and an extensive range of international contacts.
In recent years he has been working in the area of future proofing businesses and organisations in Australia, New Zealand, Germany, and the Caribbean using strategic foresight principles and processes, technology transfer between Europe and Australasia, and expanding a network of key international partners. His passion is for people, new technologies and concepts, the future and the development of strategies for individuals, businesses and organisations to achieve success in a world of accelerating change.
He is a member of the World Future Society, the Shaping Tomorrow Foresight Specialists Network, and a number of 'neural networking' groups. He is also the co-developer of a number of business tools including FutureSim, business “Future Fitness” assessment tools, and Networking tools.
Kevin holds a Master of Engineering (Canterbury) and Bachelor of Engineering (1st class honours, Canterbury). He has also completed the Executive Development Programme, Cornell University, NY, 1998. He is a Director of NEXT Corporation.
Kevin joined NEXT from Maunsell International consulting group where he was a senior executive and Director of Environment. Kevin brings over 25 years experience in executive management and leading professional consulting services teams in strategic planning and environmental and infrastructure project delivery.
He has proven skills in capability development and training of business personnel at all levels. He recruited, and developed a highly successful business with over 40 staff and received exceptional ratings from staff, colleagues, and managers in 360 degree feedback.
Kevin initiated innovation programmes leading to many project awards for Maunsell and progressively assumed wider responsibilities for Maunsell environmental services delivery in New Zealand, Australia and Asia. He was on the board of Meritec Limited 1997-2002 and chaired the Audit Committee from 2000-2002.
In summary Kevin has a proven track record of success in innovation, business development and management.
He is currently a member of the Institute of Directors, the Resource Management Law Association, and the Institute of Professional Engineers NZ.
